One New York couple is teaching their daughter about women's history in what is probably the cutest way possible.
Photographer Marc Bushelle and his wife Janine wanted their five-year-old daughter Lily to learn a bit about 'heroines' in history. So the couple picked a few favourites to dress Lily up as, and recreated the photos of iconic women, both living and dead, who made a difference.
'I wanted Lily to be able to identify with them and, in turn, build her sense of self-worth,' Mr. Bushelle wrote. 'I wanted her to be able to see herself as a future heroine.'
The response to Mr. Bushelle's photos has been enthusiastic, with commenters chiming in to praise the couples's efforts and fawn over the cute little girl.
'What a wonderful way of utilizing photography to highlight the strength, passion, and inspiration shared by all of these women,' wrote one fan.
Another added: 'Living history - so wonderful! Your family's work will certainly inspire many more educators and parents, as it has me.'
