A woman who comfort ate her way to 89kgs and refused to walk down the aisle as a 'fat bride' has slimmed to a size six - after a stranger commented about her weight.
Trainee midwife Claire Crowthers was so unhappy with her size after binging on pizzas and junk food, that at one point she 'couldn't bear' to look at herself in the mirror.
The 31-year-old mother-of-one was shocked into slimming down after the nasty remark was made at work. With the support of her now-husband Stephen, Claire dropped 38kgs and she celebrated banishing her demons by getting married.
'My long term health was in jeopardy, I was classed as morbidly obese and I was a bad role model for my daughter Molly,' she said.
Since overhauling her lifestyle and changing her appearance, fitness has become an integral part of her life.
