3/9 Vito Scotti as Captain Gaspar Fomento: Vito Scotti has appeared in many TV shows and films since 'The Flyin Nun', including 'The Godfather', 'Get Shorty' and 'How Sweet It Is!'. Vito died of lung cancer on June 5, 1996. He was 78.

4/9 Alejandro Rey as Carlos Ramirez: Alejandro Rey continued to act in a variety of films and TV shows, including 'Days Of Our Lives', 'Dallas' and 'The Ninth Configuration'. Rey has also directed for television. Rey died from lung cancer on May 21, 1987.

5/9 Linda Dangcil as Sister Ana: Linda Dangcil has appeared on many TV shows, including 'The Bold Ones', 'Maverick' and 'Rawhide'. She also does voice acting, with her most recognised role as the character of Carmen 'Raya' Alonso in the 1980s animated series Jem. Dangcil died on May 7, 2009, at the age of 67, following an eight-year battle with throat cancer.

6/9 Shelley Morrison as Sister Sixto: Shelley Morrison had a long career in film, appearing in 'General Hospital' and 'Will & Grace' after 'The Flying Nun'. She also does voice work and producing. Shelley underwent a lumpectomy for breast cancer in 1988, followed by a full mastectomy when the cancer recurred in 1998. She had lung cancer and underwent surgery to remove the upper third of her right lung.

7/9 Marge Redmond as Sister Jacqueline: Marge Redmond went on to star in Alfred Hitchcock's 'Family Plot' and Woody Allen's 'Manhattan Murder Mystery'. She also made guest appearances on 'The Munsters' and 'The Cosby Show', among others. In the 1981 she made a return to Broadway in 'The Dresser'. More recently she can be heard in the video game 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' and 'Max Payne 2'. Marge's recent photo is unknown.

8/9 Madeleine Sherwood as Reverend Mother Placido: Madeleine Sherwood appeared in many soap opera over the years, most notably on 'Guiding Light' and 'The Secret Storm'. She had a cameo on 'All My Children' and made appearances on many more TV shows. During the 80s, she received a grant as one of the first women to direct short films. She wrote, directed and acted in her film 'Good Night Sweet Prince'. She is an activist for Women and Incest.

9/9 Sally Field as Sister Bertrille (Elsie Ethrington): Sally Field has spent most of the last five decades on our screens, starring in 'Mrs Doubtfire', 'Forrest Gump', 'Legally Blonde 2', 'Brothers and Sisters' (which netted her an Emmy), and more recently with her role as the president’s wife in 'Lincoln' and in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’. Field has received countless accolades for her acting, including multiple Academy Awards and nominations.
