The Iconic Mrs. Doubtfire House Is Up For Sale!

The Victorian mansion used in the 1993 Robin Williams comedy has been put on the market for $4.45 million.

The 3,300-square-foot house in the Pacific Heights neighbourhood of San Francisco was used for the film's exterior shots and has since become a tourist hot spot. Following Williams's death in 2014, the home became a memorial for the star, with fans leaving flowers, candles and messages of remembrance.

The home last sold for $1.395 million in April 2000 but in January 2015, it made headlines when its door was set ablaze by an arsonist. The property was built in 1893 and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and overlooks San Francisco Bay.

The house was designed by architect Joachim B Mathison, who worked on another property nearby that was owned by author Danielle Steel.
