She is perhaps not a conventional beauty, but Zappa's unique look has captured hearts around the world.
The Italian greyhound comes from show dog heritage, but is better known for her tongue, which lolls out the side of her mouth.
According to her owners, the dog's somewhat unusual expression is due to a dental issue that is common to the breed, which has resulted in the pooch losing all but two of her teeth.
Despite this however, Zappa is still able to eat like a normal dog and lives a privileged and happy live in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
The 15-year-old pooch also lives with two other dogs, a standard poodle named Bazinga and a shih poo named Dylan, as well as four hairless guinea pigs, Peanut, Pickles, Pepper, and Pipsqueak.
Her owners say she is a creative dog who knows how to keep warm during the cold Wisconsin winters.
