Culinary Blast From The Past: Beef Fudge (!)

In 1967, the wives of cattle farmers and ranchers around the globe published the Poll-Ette Hostess Cookbook. In it, there's lots of ways to use up leftover beef, but this must be one of the wackiest. Apparently (according to a new millenium food blogger MidCentury Menu who tried making it) it's really tasty. Not sure I'd be game enough to try it though!
