After appearing as a guest on various UK TV shows for five years, Basil Brush finally got his own show in 1968 which ran until 1984. It had a revival between 2002 and 2007, and these days the wily fox stays in touch with the kids via his own YouTube channel. Here's a very early episode from 1973, featuring the lovely Derek Fowlds.
