We can't believe that 10 years ago a prankster in Brisbane put New Zealand up for sale on eBay, the online auction site!
The Australian tried to auction our whole country for just one Australian cent.
Apparently, he didn’t think much of NZ, although he had only been to Auckland once and the city didn’t make a big impression on him.
The highlights of the selling “product”, described in the post, included “the dodgiest American Cup win ever and very ordinary weather”.
After six thousand hits and 22 bids, the price quickly climbed to A$3,000, until eBay managers pulled the auction from the website.
