Apple has issued a voluntary recall of its wall plug adapters because of a risk of electric shock.
In very rare cases, the two prong Apple AC wall plug adapters designed for use in many parts of the world, including Australia and New Zealand, may break and create a risk of electrical shock if touched. These wall plug adapters shipped from 2003 to 2015 with Mac and certain iOS devices, and were also included in the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit.
The affected wall plug adapters have 4 or 5 characters or no characters on the inside slot where it attaches to an Apple power adapter.
