Despite the major COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 48-hour Film Festival was a huge success.

Kiwis all over the country got creative to make a short film with both time and location restrictions - but there was one finalist that really tickled our funny bone!

It's titled Cookie Jar by the Morris Buchanans - who you may remember as the family that went viral during level 4 lockdown with their incredible Family Lockdown Boogie video.

Cookie Jar is an exploration of the age-old question: Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar? The jar stands empty and this dilemma threatens to tear a family apart. Let the interrogations commence.

The Morris Buchanan team is, perhaps unsurprisingly, made up of the Morris Buchanan family: Graeme, Jo, Lani, Jack and Maisie the dog.

They spent the lockdown together in their Wellington family home.

Jack is an actor and musician who works predominantly in theatre, while the rest of the family are all career lawyers and public servants who are easily roped into being participants in Jack’s creative pursuits.

Let's hope that they continue to entertain us long after lockdown is over!
