Earlier this year the BEST movie theatre in the world opened.

What makes it the best, you ask?

Only the joy of watching a movie with a sleeping pooch on your lap!

That's right.

What's usually an experience you only get in the comfort of your own home, one man in Texas turned into a public activity.

And now Auckland's Academy Cinemas is following suit!

All in the name of charity, Fur Child Supply Co's founder, Caitlyn Coulston, has organised the dog-friendly movie to be held on August 17 and all proceeds from ticket sales are going to the SPCA.

The cinema has 211 seats for dog-lovers to bring their best friends with them to watch The Secret Life of Pets 2.

The bad news? Unsurprisingly, the event is now SOLD OUT.

Fingers crossed a theatre like this opens on our shores permanently soon!
