A UK pet owner has shared a rather funny (but expensive) story about his darling pup who faked an injury as a show of solidarity for his owner.

Russell Jones posted a video to Facebook showing his dog hobbling along next to him, with the caption "Cost me £300 in vet fees and X-rays, nothing wrong just sympathy. Love him".

It is said that naturally, Jones was worried about his dog Bill's new limp so took him to the vet for x-rays, however, when the x-rays revealed no results, he knew that Bill was just feeling sorry for his owner.

Needless to say, the compassionate pantomime elicited an outpouring of support on Facebook.

“Awhhh no way! That’s the cutest thing ever,” fawned one commenter over Bill’s apparent paw-lidarity display.

The video has now been shared more than 45,000 times, and it is really easy to see why! What a great story.
