Why Remarkably Bright Creatures could be one of this year’s must‑see films

A new film lands on Netflix this July, and Grant is already confident it will be one of the year’s standout releases.

"It's one of the most heart-warming books I've read in the last few years. It's about the friendship between Marcellus, an octopus, and Tova, a 70-year-old widow who cleans at the aquarium where Marcellus lives ... I know! What an unusual concept - but it works! It also tears at your heart. I'm really glad it's has been made into a movie for Netflix starring Sally Field as Tova."

For Grant, it’s that emotional connection that makes the upcoming adaptation so promising. The choice of Sally Field also adds a layer of its own magic, given her long history of bringing warmth and authenticity to the screen.

Based on the story’s reputation and the talent behind it, Remarkably Bright Creatures already has Grant’s attention, and it just might earn yours too.
