Kiwi student goes viral with his heartwarming reaction to being accepted into medical school

When you are a kid, so many grown-ups ask you that timeless question: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Some kids dream of being an astronaut or a fireman.

But for Nikora Wade, he always dreamed of being a doctor ...

And now the Kiwi student is going viral for his heartwarming reaction to finding out he has been offered a place in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme at Auckland University.

Posted to TikTok, the footage starts off with Wade very mysteriously saying he has received an email and he can't focus.

The video - which has received more than 210,000 views - then shows his whānau gathered around a laptop as they read out the acceptance letter.

Unsurprisingly, Wade is left absolutely speechless, while tears ensued.

Alongside the emotional video, he wrote: "Got the email today whānau!! As promised, here’s my reaction #nevergiveup."
