The emotional trailer for I Am: Celine Dion is finally here ahead of its release in June.

Directed by Academy Award nominee Irene Taylor, the documentary will show us a raw and honest behind-the-scenes look at the iconic superstar’s struggle with a life-altering illness - Stiff Person Syndrome.

Celine revealed she had been diagnosed with the neurological disorder in December 2022 after postponing several shows. The illness creates spasms that affect her ability to walk and use her vocal cords to sing the way she used to.

“It’s not hard to do a show, you know. It’s hard to cancel a show,” she says in the trailer. “I’m working hard everyday. But I have to admit, it’s been a struggle. I miss it so much. The people, I miss them. If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. I won’t stop.”

The trailer will show archival and behind-the-scenes footage as well as new interviews. At one point, she breaks down in tears as she recounts the recent health challenges she’s faced.

The documentary is also a love letter to her fans, highlighting the music that has guided Celine's life while showcasing the resilience of the human spirit.
