When deciding to get a pet, it can be a difficult decision about whether to choose a cat or a dog.
Although they are both furry friends, the two types of animals are very different!
But now a study has found that those of us who own dogs may be happier than us with cats in the family ...
As if we needed another reason to buy a puppy!
Research from The General Social Survey, a study from the US, revealed that a higher percentage of people who owned dogs found they enjoyed their lives more than those who had cats as pets.
Research from 2018 showed that 36% of dog owners defined themselves as "very happy," in comparison to 18% of cat owners.
