The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony doubled as a How the Grinch Stole Christmas reunion after stars Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen reunited on the red carpet.
The Pretty Reckless singer, 32, and the Truman Show actor, 63, ran into each other at the event in Los Angeles over the weekend and posed for photos together in a sweet Grinch reunion 25 years after the beloved movie first premiered.
Speaking to People, the Gossip Girl alum, who has stepped away from acting to focus on her music career, recalled working with Jim on set of the 2000 holiday film and looked back at some of her favourite memories. Taylor was just 5 years old when she portrayed little Cindy Lou Who opposite Jim's iconic Grinch.
"I just love that he was very protective of me. He was always very kind," she said. "And just the entire experience of filming Grinch and getting to know him so well, even in all the makeup, was just wonderful."
She also explained how the comedian's professionalism and work ethic continues serves an inspiration on moving throughout her own career, even years after first working together.
"As a young person watching an artist at work and taking their craft so seriously, that left a really powerful, lasting impact on me as an adult now," she said. "And I'm excited to be able to tell him that as a grownup."
Taylors comments come days after she praised her "awesome" Grinch costar during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast and revealed that she never knew what he looked like outside of the heavy makeup and prosthetics until the film's premiere.
"To me, he was always Jim and he was always in makeup. He was very protective of me, very kind, super funny, super animated, absolutely awesome," she said. "But the funny thing is I never knew what Jim Carrey looked like because I never saw him because he was here way early doing the prosthetics. ... I didn't know who Jim was until the premiere and someone had to point him out to me and go, 'That's Jim.' And I went, 'Oh, Jim.'"
