If there’s something strange in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call? Bill Murray of course, who is suiting up again as Peter Venkman for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, out this March.

Forty years after the release of the first film, Bill Murray (Peter Venkman), Dan Ackroyd (Ray Stant) and Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) are returning to where it all started — New York City, to save the world from a second Ice Age.

“Heads up. Tall, dark and horny at 12 o’clock,” Bill says in the trailer when the group encounters a Devil-like, glowy-eyed beast. The new trailer also features the Ectomobile zooming across New York, harnessing icy ghosts.

Frozen Empire is directed by Gil Kenan, who wrote the script with Jason Reitman, who directed Afterlife and whose dad, Ivan, directed the original two Ghostbusters films.

“It’s an absolute honour to pick up the proton pack and step behind the camera for the next chapter of the Spengler family saga,” said Gil. “I just wish I could go back to 1984 and tell the kid in the sixth row of the Mann Valley West that one day he was going to get to direct a ‘Ghostbusters’ film.”

The film is set for release in cinemas on March 28, 2024.
