Have you ever wondered what your dog thinks of your music taste?

Animal behaviour expert Anna Webb has revealed ten songs that your pooches will love - and since we’re all thinking it, no, the Baja Men’s 'Who Let the Dogs Out' is not on this list.

According to a survey from car manufacturer Škoda, about 60% of dogs become anxious when in a car and 75% of drivers said their dog's behaviour has distracted them while driving.

Anna’s playlist has provided the perfect solution, with the key factor not being the artists’ voice or lyrics but the beats per minute.

“Emulating the heartbeat is thought by science to offer a calming effect. Small dogs and puppies normally have heart rates of 120 to 160 beats per minute.”

“The larger the dog, the slower the normal heart rate. This means it is a slow tempo, which science has proven is calming to dogs. So slower-tempo songs work for bigger dogs”.

Here are the songs:
1. "Oh My God" by Adele
2. "More Than A Woman" by Bee Gees
3. "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac
4. "Fly Me To The Moon" by Frank Sinatra
5. "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley
6. "Starman" by David Bowie
7. "Stay" by Rihanna
8. "Careless Whisper" by George Michael
9. "Like A Prayer" by Madonna
10. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" by ABBA

She also says that it's worth acclimating your dog to the playlist before you get into the car, so your dog has positive associations with the songs beforehand.

So turn that volume up and get your boogie on with your pooch!
