With Thanksgiving happening in the US this week, firefighters and government agencies are once again warning against the hazards of deep-frying turkeys.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission, in its annual warning, told Americans to "cook your turkey, not your home" with a new video posted online showing how the practice can very easily set off fires.
If you're thinking of deep frying a turkey anytime soon, make sure you thaw the bird properly, use the correct amount of oil and ensure the temperature of the oil does not exceed 163C.Â
