It's one of the most iconic photos of all time ... and today it turns 50 years old!

To celebrate the half-century anniversary of the Beatles walking across the famous zebra crossing at Abbey Road, hundreds of fans have gathered at the London street.

John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Sir Paul McCartney and George Harrison were photographed striding single file over the crossing on August 8 1969.

The image went on to become one of the most recognised covers in music history.
