Kiwi plumber Logan Dodds became a viral superstar last week when the above four-minute video of his travels became global news.

Now, he's fielding calls from travel companies, media outlets and global brands about sponsorship opportunities, leaving the humble tradie eyeing up a potential new career.

"To be honest I'm still taking everything in, but GoPro's response to my video has been the most mind blowing," he told Spy.

"This is one of the first projects I've put together and I really enjoyed it, so naturally an opportunity to explore this as a career path would be amazing, but it's never something that's potentially been an option up until now."

Dodds was a popular guy on the Auckland social scene, regularly making the Spy social pages before he left Auckland two years ago. Leaving his plumbing job he headed off on his OE to play with the Bury St Edmonds RUFC in Suffolk, north of London.

The 24-year-old's handsome looks have helped broaden the video's appeal but at its heart, it's his clever storytelling and the mix of adventure tourism and partying that has appealed on a global scale.

The humble Dodds laughed at being compared to the Hawaiian travel video of Max Key and his girlfriend Amelia Finlayson, admitting he had watched it and thought it was quite good.

Spy caught up with the travelling triumph in London, before he hopped on a plane to Portugal yesterday to volunteer in a surf hostel. He hinted at making a second video after heavy demand.
