"You've taken about 50 years off my life."

Queen Camilla was honoured with her Barbie doll lookalike at an International Women's Day event.

During the Women of the World reception at Buckingham Palace, Queen Camilla was presented with the doll which was dressed in a replica of her outfit - a blue Fiona Clare dress and an Amanda Wakeley coat.

"Thank you very, very much indeed. It's brilliant," Queen Camilla said. "You've taken about 50 years off my life."

She added, "We should all have a Barbie!"

Queen Camilla currently serves as the president of WOW and was joined by Dame Helen Mirren, Baroness Doreen Lawrence, Spice Girl Mel B and Dame Kelly Holmes at the event.

During the event, Queen Camilla and Queen Mathilde boarded the WOW Girls Festival Bus, which travels to schools and community centres around England to promote gender equality.

At the reception during part of her speech, Queen Camilla told a story from 1914 when two suffragettes broke the palace windows by throwing stones. She said in the address how at the time Queen Mary, wife of King George V, ordered for the stones to be kept.

"I believe they represented hope to the women who threw them – hope that, in the future, they would not be victims of their history, nor of the social and economic forces that were ranged against gender equality," Camilla said, holding up the stones. "Above all, they represented the hope that it was possible."

She continued, "Today, 110 years later, you have been invited into Buckingham Palace because you too represent hope for women in the present and in the future."
