After almost four decades out of the spotlight, ABBA is about to make their return to the stage with a series of revolutionary virtual concerts at London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Thanks to George Lucas' special-effects company, Industrial Light & Magic, holographic versions of Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus will perform with a live 10-piece band in the purpose-built arena.

And now the beloved Swedish supergroup have shared an official trailer for the forthcoming Voyage shows.

Giving fans a sneak peek at their digital ABBA-tars in action, the Tron-esque visuals show ABBA performing against a dazzling backdrop of graphics to 'Summer Night City.'

"A concert 40 years in the making," text in the video reads.

ABBA call it "the strangest and most spectacular concert you could ever dream of."

"We're going to be able to sit back in an audience and watch our digital selves perform our songs," the group's statement said. "Weird and wonderful!"

The group went their separate ways in 1982 at the height of their career.

They performed together for the first time in decades in 2016 at a private event, which marked the 50th anniversary of the first meeting between songwriters Björn and Benny.
