Anne Hegerty talks about the possibility of Bradley Walsh leaving The Chase for Doctor Who

Ever since Bradley Walsh was announced as the Doctor's sidekick on Doctor Who, fans have been speculating as to whether he would leave The Chase or not.

In an interview at the National Television Awards, Anne Hegerty quashed those rumours, saying that Bradley is committed to the hit game show. 

“I think he takes The Chase as seriously as we do,” Anne said.

She then revealed Bradley's priorities: "So I think whatever he takes on, he wants it to fit around The Chase. He doesn’t want to replace it.”

The Chase managed to win Best Quiz Show at the awards, a category that was greatly contested.

Though Bradley wasn't at the show to receive the award, he FaceTimed in from South Africa to celebrate with the team.
