Much to the delight of ABBA fans, the Swedish superstars changed the entertainment world with the launch of their Voyage shows.

Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus reunited for the groundbreaking concert residency at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, which features virtual 'ABBAtars' presenting the group as they were in the '70s.

And the performances - which are currently taking place at a purpose-built venue - have been so popular they've now piqued the interest of other legendary musicians.

Speaking to Radio Times magazine, Ulvaeus revealed some big names have been to see the show and are now wanting to follow suit.

"I know Barry Gibb has been to see it. I hear rumours about Metallica. I don’t think Mick Jagger has been yet, but he has said something about it," he said.

"Cher was going. So many of my contemporaries are now thinking, 'Is there a way we can do it?'"

Sir Mick Jagger recently said avatar shows like ABBA's offer up endless opportunities for veteran acts.

The 79-year-old music legend said: "The ABBA thing gives you this kind of technology breakthrough, which, I haven’t actually seen it yet ... who knows what technology lies in store down the road?"

ABBA was captured in real life by more than 120 motion capture cameras before being digitised by an 800-strong team of visual effects artists.

The 90-minute show features pre-recorded classics mixed with the band’s new numbers such as 'Don’t Shut Me Down.'
