Coronavirus: New Zealand has 29 new cases and four patients in ICU

New Zealand has 29 new cases of Covid-19 - bringing the total number of cases in New Zealand to 1,239 says Director General of Health Ashley Bloomfield.

There are 23 new confirmed cases and 6 probable cases today.

There are 14 people in hospital, including four in ICU.

There have been no additional deaths and 317 people have recovered.

The seven-day rolling average of daily tests is 3,547 and over 47,000 tests have been completed in total. There are 68 testing centres around the country.

Two per cent of cases have been confirmed as community transmission.

Today more people have recovered from coronavirus than have tested positive.
