The day has finally arrived!

The legendary Elton John has made his return to our shores, kicking off his tour with a show at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium tonight.

Elton John was the first-ever concert at the Stadium back in 2011 and we can’t wait to welcome him back.

Are you lucky enough to be heading along to the concert?

Here's everything you need to know ...

GETTING THERE
Please be aware that the roads will be busy and delays are expected today as thousands of fans travel to watch the Rocket Man in concert at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium. We recommend that people arrive early so they do not miss the start of the concert. You may like to share a ride with friends to help reduce traffic congestion.

Roads around the stadium will be closed from 3pm.

The Dunedin City Council is asking motorists to stay off the roads and walk or take the bus instead. People should take advantage of public transport and walk where possible as parking would be tight around the Forsyth Barr Stadium and the central city.

The Octagon is a 15 - 20-minutes' walk from the stadium and we encourage you to walk back to town.

Stadium Shuttles
A free shuttle will run every five minutes between 5:00-6:30pm. Board the shuttles outside the Dunedin Public Library (Moray Place) to Harbour Terrace near Forsyth Barr Stadium ‑ free shuttles will leave from Harbour Terrace straight after the event, heading back to the Dunedin Public Library (Moray Place).
