When it was announced early last year that we would be getting a biopic of the King Of Pop the question everyone was asking was, 'Who would play Michael Jackson?'

The producers decided to go with someone with limited acting experience but who had a genetic advantage - Michael's nephew.

Now, we've finally been given a glimpse of Jaafar Jackson as Michael and thanks to movie magic he looks exactly like Michael in the '80s.

When cast Jaafar said that he was "humbled and honoured to bring [his] Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon."

Despite being Michael's nephew, Jaafar didn't just get handed the role but got it fair and square after a worldwide casting search.

Producer King said, "I met Jaafar over two years ago and was blown away by the way he organically personifies the spirit and personality of Michael.

"It was something so powerful that even after conducting a worldwide search, it was clear that he is the only person to take on this role."

Despite his limited acting experience, Jaafar has been singing and dancing since the age of 12 - covering Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye.

In 2019 he also released his first single, Got Me Singing.

The biopic is currently expected to be released in April 2025.
