Kate Middleton and Prince William release their annual Christmas card photo - and it is beautiful!

Every Christmas fans eagerly await the release of the official royal family Christmas cards.

This year, Prince William and Kate Middleton have given us an early look at the photo that will feature on their cards - showing off their beautiful family of five.

The picture - which shows the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with their three children Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three, sitting against a stone backdrop – was shared on social media.

The photo, which was taken in Jordan earlier this year, shows the whole Cambridge family beaming.

For the occasion, William, Kate, and George all donned earthy shades of khaki and olive with George choosing a camouflage t-shirt that's become one of his go-to looks.

While Charlotte and Louis tied things together in blue and white combos.

Alongside the portrait, the Cambridges' wrote: "Delighted to share a new image of the family, which features on this year’s Christmas card."

Last year, the royals posed outdoors at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, against a backdrop of a large woodpile. The family were dressed casually in jeans and jumpers.
