The Queen is officially hiring!

If you've forever dreamed of working with Her Majesty, then you're in luck.

The longest-reigning monarch is currently on the hunt for a new Demi Chef de Partie.

"Joining an accomplished team of professionals, you’ll work hands-on to deliver food to the highest standards. You'll prepare diverse menus for a wide range of events," the job description states on the royal family's website.

"Working with quality ingredients and alongside skilled colleagues, your role will be diverse, rotating through all sections of the kitchen."

The successful applicant will need to be an "ambitious and qualified" cook that can meet the "exceptionally high" standard required for meals in the royal household.

For the full-time role, applicants must have had a clear passion for food and the catering industry, along with strong communication skills, adaptability and attention to detail.

Of course, the role is based predominately at Buckingham Palace in London. Although you will have to follow the Queen to her other residences on occasion.

The salary is £22,076.04 a year (NZ$40,738.79), which also includes 15% employer contribution pension scheme, 33 days holiday and training.

PLUS, live-in accommodation with meals.

Which means, yes, you will get to live in Buckingham Palace!
