Millie Elder-Holmes has lived a very public life, one that has been scrutinised by the public every step of the way.

Following the death of her step-father Paul Holmes in 2013 and murder of her boyfriend Connor Morris in 2014, Millie packed everything up and made the move to Greece.

During a Q and A session on Instagram, the star took some time to answer a few questions from her fans.

"My life changed three times in a big way in two/three years," Millie said in the post.

"Maybe I was little numb or naive at the time about how much of a big decision it was, but honestly it saved me in such a huge way to distance myself," she continued.

This isn't the first time that Millie has spoken about here move though, earlier this year she sat down with NEXT and talked about her reasons.

"In Greece, no one knows who I am, I can go out and have a coffee, I can go for a swim at the beach. I just feel so free".

"I've found a huge part of myself here, and I'm still discovering more. It was almost like a homecoming. I didn't know this part of myself, and I feel really at home here – whereas I remember growing up as a child in Remuera feeling quite… displaced."

As well as speaking about her move, Millie also answered a question about her heritage, and why she identifies more with her Greek side than her Maori side.

"Probably because I am half Greek, and my dad is a full on Greek man, and my grandparents are etc... Where as with my Maori side it's just one grandmother who had some heritage, I didn't grow up with it so much. I feel Greek, what can I say, I am Greek."

As well as these, Millie answered a few more questions about her favourite places in New Zealand, how she started her business, and shared her thoughts on marijuana legalisation.
