Ahead of his forthcoming album with the London Symphony Orchestra, legendary singer and songwriter Neil Diamond has treated fans to a sneak peek of what's to come, sharing one of his best-loved songs, 'Sweet Caroline'.

The beautiful new version sees Diamond perform a new vocal on the famous crowd-pleaser, as he follows the likes of Rod Stewart and the Carpenters by releasing an album featuring orchestral updates.

Penned in 1969, 'Sweet Caroline' quickly became one of the 79-year-old's signature tunes and one of his biggest hits.

Over the years, the iconic track has also become a popular anthem at sporting events.

'Sweet Caroline' is one of 14 hits that Diamond has reinterpreted for the album, which was recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios, as well as at Neil's studio in Los Angeles.

Diamond retired from touring in 2018 due to his battle with Parkinson's disease, though he continues working on projects, including an upcoming musical.

Neil Diamond With The London Symphony Orchestra, Classic Diamonds, is set to be released on November 20.
