The Duke of Cambridge has spoken about his desire for Kate's difficult first stage of pregnancy to be over so the family can enjoy the good news.
Opening up about yesterday's announcement for the first time, he said: 'We just need Catherine to get over this first bit, then we can start celebrating next week.'
His words appear to confirm that Kate is 11 weeks along and will hit the crucial 12 week mark in her pregnancy next week.Â
William described the new baby as 'very good news', but admitted: 'It's always a bit anxious to start with, but she's well.'
Kate, 35, is suffering from an extreme form of morning sickness, Hyperemesis Gravidarum, and is being cared for at Kensington Palace while her husband carried out a day of engagements.Â
This morning he attended a conference on mental health and policing in Oxford, before visiting a community oragnisation working with Grenfell survivors in North Kensington.
