Queen Elizabeth II is set to reopen her Sandringham Estate this month, welcoming royal fans to her privately owned property for a unique drive-in movie experience.

The gardens of the 94-year-old British monarch's home in Norfolk will host a special set of movie nights, costing £32.50 per car.

The estate said: "Enjoy your favourite movie from the comfort of your car in the wonderful setting of Sandringham Country Park.

"We have selected some great street food vendors to join us at each performance. Upgrade your ticket for just £7.50 to add deckchair, table, popcorn and separate area to the side of your vehicle."

The first outdoor cinema night will be on Friday 25 September and the line-up will include 1917, Rocketman, Toy Story, The Greatest Showman, and Bohemian Rhapsody, as well as Moana, Grease, and A Star Is Born.

According to the estate’s website, the drive-in will follow strict COVID-19 guidelines.

The Queen is currently holidaying at Balmoral Castle in Scotland but will return to Windsor Castle - which is where she and Prince Philip were previously self-isolating for lockdown - after her break.

Her Majesty is not expected to return to Sandringham Estate until Christmas.
