Queen Elizabeth reveals the special meaning behind the names of her new Corgis

Queen Elizabeth II became the proud new parent of two adorable Corgis earlier this month ... and now she has chosen two very special names for her pups.

The 94-year-old monarch - who has had over 30 canine companions over the years - has named the corgis Fergus and Muick.

Fergus is named after her uncle Fergus Bowes-Lyon, who died in 1915 during World War I.

While, Muick, is named after Loch Muick on the Queen's estate in Scotland, where she and her family regularly travel for picnics during their holidays.

The pooches are believed to be the first the Queen has owned that are not direct descendants of Susan, the dog she received for her 18th birthday in 1944.

In 2015, the Queen stopped breeding dogs prompting speculation she'd never get another pet.

However, it seems she's changed her mind.

While it was revealed she was given the puppies as a gift, it is unclear who she received them from.
