Everyone's favourite pop star Robbie Williams is heading down under ... but sadly he's not coming to New Zealand.

The British singer is set to headline the inaugural World Tour concert in Melbourne in conjunction with the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.

The concert will take place on Saturday 14 March at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park.

"I am looking forward to getting down to Australia, it's a place that is in my heart, I feel like an Aussie when I am there and if there's an opportunity to get down there I grab it with both hands," Williams said in a statement.
