While Robbie Williams is currently looking better than ever following the release of his first-ever Christmas album, The Christmas Present, his health hasn't always been in such good condition.

Speaking to The Sun, the 'Angels' hitmaker has revealed he was forced to cancel his tour in 2017 after suffering from a brain condition which left him in intensive care for seven days.

Robbie - who has Teddy, seven, Charlie, five, and Coco, 14 months, with wife Ayda Field - was backstage at a stadium in Zurich when he began to feel unwell.

He said: "My left arm went numb and I couldn’t stop dribbling out of the side of my mouth.

"I had a headache and I was also having trouble breathing. I couldn’t get a full breath.

"I had blood tests done, and I had various scans including ones of my heart and my brain, and there were some abnormalities found, including something on my brain that looked like blood.

"That was obviously very scary, so the decision was taken out of my hands and I was sent straight to the intensive care unit."

After spending a few weeks recuperating, the 45-year-old singer decided to form some healthier habits.

The former Take That star is now vegan and practices pilates and yoga every day.

"I'm looking after myself. I know I’m going to be better than ever," he added.
