Last Thursday marked what would have been the legendary George Michael's 57th birthday.
And Ronan Keating took to social media to pay a heartfelt tribute to his "hero" and "friend."
Taking to Instagram, the Irish singer shared a picture of George performing on stage.
Alongside the image, he wrote: "I was inspired to perform and sing because of this man. In my eyes, he is the greatest singer-songwriter that has lived.
"A man with the biggest and most genuine heart and whose humble generosity to the people and world around him is nothing short of mind blowing.
"Proud to call ya my hero and even more proud to call you a friend. Miss you every day. Happy Birthday brother X."
Fans sympathised with the Boyzone star, paying their own tributes to the late singer in the comments section.
"The world was a lovely place with George and his generosity, he was a legend who will be loved and missed. Happy heavenly birthday George xx," wrote one follower.
The 'Faith' singer passed away on Christmas Day in 2016, at the age of 53 from heart and liver disease.
