After cancelling his shows down under last year, Sir Rod Stewart later announced he will be performing his last-ever New Zealand shows in Dunedin and Napier in April 2023 ...

And now he will be performing in Auckland too!

The 77-year-old singer will be taking to the stage at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on April 5 before heading north to Napier on April 8 and then to Auckland's Spark Arena on April 9, with none other than Cyndi Lauper and New Zealand's very own Jon Stevens.

Tickets to the newly announced Auckland show will go on sale 10am on Friday 3 March.

A portion of the Spark Arena concert proceeds will be donated to support New Zealand disaster relief charities.

"I'm so excited to return to your heart-stoppingly beautiful country. It's been far too long since I performed there and I'm eager to celebrate being back with my Kiwi fans on my last major rock tour of New Zealand. And, with Cyndi Lauper on board, it's going to be quite a bash!" Stewart said following the announcement.

The tour promises a show-stopping production and setlist of his biggest hits over a mammoth two-hour set.

Cyndi Lauper will take to the stage for one hour playing all her most loved songs.

Live Nation will continue to monitor the recovery efforts in Hawke’s Bay, the concert is so far still proceeding as scheduled.
