The Chase's Paul Sinha hits back at trolls after his £80,000 defeat due to Parkinson’s diagnosis

Two contestants on The Chase managed to win a share of one of the top 10 payouts in the show's history after Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha made a number of slip-ups in the final round.

Sadly, viewers of the show took to Twitter to mock the 49-year-old chaser after the crushing £80,000 defeat, with some calling him "hopeless."

One fan even accused Sinha of purposely throwing the game, writing: "Paul Sinner let them win.

While another added: "Really enjoy The Chase, but it's so obvious that some of the episodes are thrown."

"Tonight's was a throw, how can Sinnerman, a DOCTOR, not know the answer of 'knuckles'?!" wrote a third.

Following the comments, the Sinnerman hit back at the trolls revealing the episode was filmed just three days after his Parkinson's disease diagnosis.

He told fans to remember that he is a "real" person, despite his tough persona on the TV show.

Sharing his blog post from June 14 last year, in which he announced he has Parkinson's, Paul wrote: "The King of Stats, aka The Beast tells me today's episode was recorded three days after this blog.

"Worth remembering that Chasers and contestants are real people with real stuff going on."

Parkinson’s is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system, which usually begins with motor symptoms, including shaking and difficulty walking.
