It's safe to say that almost everyone is excited for Harry and Meghan's baby that is due in the British spring.

But who are the godparents going to be?

Many royal fans have said that Prince William is the obvious choice, as he was Harry's best man at his wedding earlier this year - but experts don't think that this will be the case.

Even though the two brothers are extremely close, Harry and Meghan are predicted to follow in the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's footsteps and not choose siblings as godparents.

A royal blogger has spoken to HELLO! about the situation, "If Harry and Meghan take the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's lead in not choosing siblings as godparents for their children then I don't think William will be chosen as godfather. I believe William and Catherine's thought process when it came to their children's godparents was to choose close friends and family who would be in their lives but not as much as the baby's uncle or aunt. This would give the baby a larger support system. But it's also not unheard of for siblings to be chosen as godparents. For example, Prince Andrew is Prince Harry and Zara Tindall's godfather. Ultimately, it is just a waiting game to see how Harry and Meghan decide to choose their child's godparents."

Prince Harry is already a godfather to many of his friend's children, while Meghan is a godmother to three of her best friend's children.

When it comes to names, the bets are favouring the baby to be a little girl over a boy, Victoria is leading with 15/2 odds.

James comes in at second with 9/1 odds, Diana is also a popular vote with 12/1.
