Prepare to hear Freddie Mercury and David Bowie's 'Under Pressure' like you've never heard it before ...

Country music legend Willie Nelson has teamed up with Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O to release a contemplative, acoustic cover of the 1981 hit duet - and it is truly beautiful!

Maintaining the songs iconic bass line in its intro, Karen O kicks things off by singing the opening chorus by herself, before Willie comes in to join her, taking on Bowie's part.

Speaking about their rendition, Karen O said that the performances by Bowie and Mercury are "so exhilarating you get swept away in the high of that duet," which might lead a listener to miss the power of their words. This version is intended to be more intimate.

And we think it succeeds at that.
