/17 Jennifer Lawrence & Bradley Cooper: Silver Linings Playbook. Apparently after their first kiss on set Jennifer called Bradley out saying, “You’re a wet kisser.” But Jennifer is not the world’s greatest kisser either, according to her Hunger Games co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. Josh called her a “slobbery” kisser. While Liam claimed that she had the worst-smelling breath, making the kissing experience “gross.”

/17 Rachel McAdams & Ryan Gosling: The Notebook. No one could anticipate the drama that happened while filming, including some on-set conflict between the two actors! There was even an alleged yelling fit between Rachel and Ryan before kissing scenes.

/17 Kirsten Dunst & Brad Pitt: Interview With The Vampire. Kirsten Dunst received a lot of flak when she said that kissing Brad Pitt was “disgusting.” It’s understandable though, given she was only 11 when she had to do it. 8/17 Emma Watson & Rupert Grint: Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows. Rumors circulated that Emma Watson and Rupert Grint didn’t get along off-screen. 9/17 Jennifer Grey & Patrick Swayze: Dirty Dancing. It’s become widely known that on the set of this iconic film, Patrick wasn’t too fond of Jennifer’s professional decorum. In his memoir, he writes about having to be romantic with someone that is such a frustrating part of the journey. It’s no surprise that kissing Jennifer wasn’t his favourite part of making the film.

/17 Julia Roberts & Nick Nolte: I Love Trouble. Here, we have another case of “no chemistry.” It’s been said that Julia and Nick didn’t get along, their tempers got the best of them and it went far enough that they began to insult and agitate each other on purpose. They even filmed most of their scenes separately. Years later, Julia was caught referring to Nick as a “disgusting human being.”

/17 Steve Carell & Dwayne Johnson: Get Smart. Men kissing men isn’t an uncommon practice in films, but for these two it wasn’t the most expected. Known for Dwayne's muscles and Steve's comedic background, it’s no surprise their kissing scene wasn’t the most pleasant experience. Dwayne compared Steve’s tongue to that of kitty litter.

/17 Helena Bonham Carter & Woody Allen: Aphrodite. Helena Bonham Carter spilled the beans that kissing Woody Allen is more work and trouble than it’s worth. Helen described Woody’s kissing as offensive. She says, “He tells you up front certain ways of kissing he doesn't want. No exchange of liquid is permitted. It can be a bit offensive because he makes no effort at all. It’s like kissing the Berlin Wall.”

/17 Tom Cruise & Thandie Newton: Mission Impossible 2. No one wants to be called a slobbery kisser, but unfortunately for Tom Cruise, he’s been called out for being such. According to Thandie, kissing Tom was “slightly icky and sort of wet.” Thandie even said she’d always be mumbling and grumbling after filming each kissing scene because they had to do it numerous times before they got it right.

/17
/17 Kirsten Dunst & Tobey Maguire: Spider-Man. This iconic kiss was pure awkwardness and complete discomfort. Tobey said “the hardest thing I had to do as Spider-Man was kiss Kirsten Dunst. When we shot that scene where we kissed in the alleyway and I was hanging upside down, it was raining, and the whole time I have rainwater running up my nose. Then, when Kirsten rolled back the wet mask, she cut off the air completely.”
