Love Story's Ali MacGraw And Ryan O'Neal Reunite 45 Years After The Iconic Film Was Released

It's been more than four decades since the release of Love Story, the 1970 classic romance film starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal.

But the film's leading stars have crossed paths once again to reunite on the campus that first brought their beloved characters together.

O'Neal and MacGraw arrived at Harvard University in an antique convertible similar to the one they famously rode in as a couple in the film.

It's clearly been quite a whirlwind life for these two stars, who are both now over 70 years old.

MacGraw, who lives in New Mexico, walked away from acting in the years after her breakout role and has since written about her struggles with addiction.

For O'Neal, cancer - like in the movie, has played a big part in his life. He recently battled leukemia, which he says is now in remission.

He also lost his longtime companion, actress Farrah Fawcett, to cancer in 2009.

The 7-time Academy Award nominated film consumed the hearts of all who saw it with the teary-eyed saga of a rich Harvard University student Oliver Barrett (played by blonde heartthrob Ryan O'Neal) and a poor Radcliffe girl Jenny Cavelleri (Hollywood newcomer Ali MacGraw), who eventually cross paths on the campus, but lead opposite lives.

Remember "Love means never having to say you're sorry."
