One of the talented artists behind the Disney animated classic The Lion King has found his own touching way to pay tribute to Cecil the Lion.
Disney animator Aaron Blaise, 48, who worked on the 1994 film as well as other animated features like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Pocahontas, was saddened by the news that the prized research animal had been shot and killed as a prize in Zimbabwe.
So to honor Cecil and encourage others to support the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit, Aaron drew a beautiful portrait that sees the majestic creature looking over other from the sky - much like The Lion King's Mufasa did over Simba in the movie.
