After going viral yesterday with her warning not to attempt a DIY doggy groom session at home, Toni Street made a guest appearance on TVNZ 1's Breakfast this morning to share her story with viewers.
Taking to her Instagram yesterday morning, Streety shared the warning after her husband Matt France attempted to give their pet Cavoodle Bear an at-home trim to rather disastrous results.
Posting photos of his tragic haircut on Instagram, the mum-of-three wrote: "Let this be a warning, a lesson in why DIY doggy haircuts are NEVER a good idea 😭.
"Needless to say my husband is not my favourite person right now! My poor baby Bear will be wearing his brand new coat for the next month 🙈🤯😫."
While Bear can usually be seen with a full head and body of fluffy caramel fur, he's currently looking like he has been attacked by Edward Scissorhands.
Some fans commented jokingly that it looked like France had been shearing a sheep.
Feeling so guilty about the mishap, France has since purchased Bear a brand new jumper to wear to not only keep him warm during these winter days but also keep his embarrassing new look hidden.
Street and France first welcomed Bear into their family in December 2020.
