Young girl leaves the internet baffled with optical illusion that gives her unnaturally skinny legs

We all love a good optical illusion ... but this latest optical illusion is keeping the internet very busy.

Shared on social media, the picture shows a young girl standing in an open field.

But left people scratching their heads, was the girl's legs appear to be unnaturally long and thin in an otherwise unassuming picture.

And boy did it leave us confused for a long time!

However, it turns out the optical illusion is being created by a transparent packet of popcorn that she is holding between her legs.

The colour of the popcorn blends in with the background of the grass.

Several people commented on the posts, confessing that the image left them stumped.

"This took me a while to see she's holding a bag of popcorn. I was beginning to feel scared for the girl," wrote a Facebook user.

"Oh my goodness, I was thinking she is so thin ... took me a good two minutes, LOL," commented another.

"Wow, what a trip," added a third.
