Actor Chris Evans performs impressive piano cover of Prince's 'Purple Rain'

It turns out Chris Evans' talent goes well beyond the big screen ...

Performing from his piano at home in Los Angeles, the Captain America star performed an impressive rendition of Prince's 1984 anthem 'Purple Rain.'

Sharing the video of his musical skills on Instagram, Evans expertly trilled the piano keys with ease.

Alongside the clip, he wrote: "Purple rain on a sunny day."

Of course, his performance has since gone viral, receiving over 480,000 views.

'Purple Rain' appeared on Prince and the Revolution's 1984 soundtrack for the film of the same name.

The album spent 153 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.
