It looks like the royal baby may FINALLY be on the way!

Anticipation is building for royal baby watchers after a private ambulance with a police escort has been seen driving through Windsor.

The ambulance was spotted near the Duke and Duchess of Sussex house.

BBC news presenter Simon McCoy tweeted the news, saying: "Private ambulance with police escort seen driving through Windsor #justsaying."

The report comes after news Prince Harry will be visiting the Netherlands next week.

The 34-year-old royal will launch the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games on the overseas trip next Thursday — baffling royal watchers as they expected news of Baby Sussex's arrival to be announced any day now.

Buckingham Palace today announced the news of the royal visit, saying in a statement:

"The Duke of Sussex will visit The Netherlands on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th May 2019."

"While in The Netherlands, The Duke will undertake an official engagement in Amsterdam."

"His Royal Highness will then travel to The Hague to officially launch the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020."

It is understood that the Duke will cancel the trip at the last minute if necessary, as he plans to take two weeks' paternity leave after the arrival of the newborn.

According to reports, Meghan's due date was April 28.
